ExceleTel TeleScope has become an industry standard TAPI discovery, diagnostic, and testing utility. TeleScope allows you to both monitor and control a TAPI-compliant telephony device through a graphical user interface. Events and changes of state are logged using the event, method and property names of the TeleTools development environment. Both TAPI line and phone devices are exposed and may be controlled simply by entering data (such as a phone number for dialing) and clicking buttons in the extensive user interface.
Wave play and record capabilities are also included so that you may fully investigate TAPI devices that include wave drivers. This allows for early and easy validation that your device will support applications such as IVR, voice message delivery, voice mail, auto-attendant, etc.
For most testing and troubleshooting, TeleScope provides an excellent alternative to Microsoft's difficult to use and understand TAPI Browser utility.
For the PC on which it is installed, TeleScope will also enable the logging and troubleshooting capabilities built into applications that use the ExceleTel TeleTools telephony development components.
A great new TeleScope 4 feature, introduced in conjunction with TeleTools 4, is the ability to log the TeleTools API events, methods, and properties without adding any logging code to the underlying application. This allow developers using TeleTools to concentrate on adding end-user value (features, quality, etc.) to their applications while still benefiting from the integrated logging capabilities. These features can significantly speed and simplify the development process, aid in application testing, and even assist in the troubleshooting of deployed applications. Other new features include the ability to send logging data to a powerful independent live viewer, to auto-recycling multi-part log files, or to both. TeleScope further enhances these capabilities by allowing live or file destinations to be set and logging to be turned on and off completely independently from the application. No special coding in the application is required to take advantage of any of these features.
TeleScope licenses are valid for one year from the date of issue. A license is required for each PC on which you wish to install TeleScope. Several types of licensing options are available.
If your licensing needs are not aligned with the above options please contact ExceleTel to discuss your needs and possible alternatives.
PLEASE NOTE: A single TeleScope license is included with the purchase of a TeleTools 4 Named Developer Starter Kit (for use by the developer on the development PC). Other uses or installations require one of the above license options.
